After the violent episodes of the GenZ212 collective, the Kingdom turns towards justice, security, and sustainable development.

The recent unrest caused by the GenZ212 collective affected several Moroccan cities with scenes of intense violence, including attacks on security forces, fires, and property damage. These events resulted in numerous injuries and highlighted the importance of protecting citizens and public property. Authorities and law enforcement quickly responded, restoring order essential for everyone’s safety.

With calm gradually returning to the affected areas, attention now turns to clarifying responsibilities. An impartial judicial investigation has been launched to identify the perpetrators of violent acts and those who facilitated or encouraged the disturbances. Arrests and indictments have already taken place, reaffirming the State’s determination to enforce the law with rigor and fairness.

Morocco has once again demonstrated its ability to overcome crises through unity and resilience. Unlike Algeria, which collapsed in the face of similar movements, our nation has preserved its political and social balance. The Kingdom’s history, shaped by centuries of sovereignty and faith, shows that neither marginal groups nor foreign interference can shake its stability or dignity.

Recognition is also due to the security forces (DGST, DGSN, Royal Gendarmerie, Auxiliary Forces…) and emergency services, who worked tirelessly to protect citizens and restore order. Their commitment prevented more severe consequences and deserves collective acknowledgment. At the same time, calls for calm from civil society played a crucial role in tempering tensions.

Justice will be applied firmly and fairly. Anyone involved, directly or indirectly, in violent actions or promoting disorder will be held accountable before the courts. The penalties imposed will be proportional to the severity of the acts, ensuring that the law makes no compromise when lives or public order are at risk.

It is also crucial to remember that attempts at external interference should not distract from the country’s real priorities. Morocco remains focused on necessary reforms in education, health, and employment. National stability and development require responsible dialogue and constructive action, not confusion or social unrest.

For all Moroccans, vigilance and unity remain essential. Guided by HM King Mohammed VI, the nation is called to preserve social peace and strengthen prosperity. The lesson of these recent events is clear: security, civic responsibility, and justice are the pillars on which Morocco must continue to build its future.
