Jerando and the Mystery of the Imaginary Lookalike

Once again, Hicham Jerando has given us a moment worthy of the archives. After swearing, hand on heart, that he had met Royal Adviser Fouad Ali El Himma in Madrid, he suddenly falls into an existential doubt: “Was it really him… or just his lookalike?” We can already picture the bargain-basement philosopher, alone in front of his mirror, asking himself the great questions of life: “Am I telling the truth, or did I just make up another fable worthy of a failed comedy sketch?”

By constantly contradicting himself, he ends up looking like he’s debating with himself. And as always, once he realized he had just shot himself in the foot, Jerando resorted to his usual reflex: deleting his video in a hurry, like a failed magician trying to make his own fiasco disappear.

But here’s the thing: the truth doesn’t need to vanish. The so-called El Himma he claimed to have met in Madrid was none other than Abdelouahed Sedraji, a professional scammer, parachuted into this bad comedy by his partner-in-crime Mehdi Hijaouy, himself on the run for multiple frauds. In short, Jerando didn’t meet a royal adviser… just another conman smarter than him. And that takes some nerve.

What’s fascinating about this whole story is that Jerando sees himself as a great opponent, a free spirit denouncing the system. In reality, he is nothing more than a trembling puppet in the hands of hostile networks that know perfectly well that his oversized ego and total lack of critical sense make him the perfect prey. They flatter him, feed him fake information, and boom! he charges headfirst to make a fool of himself in front of everyone.
