King’s Mohammed VI Commitment to Palestine and Al-Qods: A Loyal and Active Royal Solidarity

Moroccan diplomacy, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, continues to affirm its unwavering and profound commitment to the Palestinian cause and the preservation of the status of Al-Qods. On the occasion of the Throne Day celebrations, Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, praised the Kingdom’s firm and consistent position, stressing that the Sovereign has always made the defense of the Palestinian people’s rights a strategic priority of Morocco’s foreign policy.

This solidarity goes beyond diplomatic rhetoric; it is translated into concrete actions on the ground, particularly through medical and humanitarian interventions. Morocco has set up a field surgical hospital in the Gaza Strip, providing vital care to a population in distress. This initiative is part of a series of humanitarian measures implemented under High Royal Instructions to ease the suffering of Palestinians, especially following the escalation of violence in October 2023.

The Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency, the operational arm of the Al-Qods Committee chaired by King Mohammed VI, plays a central role in coordinating these efforts. It has overseen the delivery of medical and food aid, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, when thousands of hot meals and food baskets were distributed in Gaza. This humanitarian work reflects a comprehensive vision that blends emergency relief with sustainable development.

Moreover, Morocco places great importance on education and Palestinian youth. In this regard, the Agency has awarded scholarships to students at Al-Azhar University in Gaza and provided the institution with a distance learning platform to ensure educational continuity despite the ongoing conflict. These initiatives highlight the Kingdom’s determination to help build a better future for young Palestinians, even under extremely difficult circumstances.

Finally, Morocco’s commitment is also reflected in development projects and cultural initiatives in Al-Qods and Gaza, with over $2.2 million allocated during the first half of 2025. These achievements confirm that Morocco’s support for Palestine extends beyond politics: it is a human, compassionate, and lasting commitment rooted in a clear-sighted and consistent royal vision.
