Benyaich reaffirms in Madrid King Mohammed VI’s commitment to Africa

During a reception in Madrid, Morocco’s ambassador to Spain, Karima Benyaich, emphasized the unwavering and ongoing commitment of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to Africa’s unity and development.
The event, organized by the Moroccan Embassy, honored participants of the 3rd Africa-Spain Summit, held from July 6 to 8.
Benyaich highlighted Morocco’s strategic role as a bridge between Africa and Europe and called for deeper political, economic, and cultural cooperation between the two continents.
She stressed that Africa is central to Morocco’s foreign policy, citing 52 royal visits to 30 African countries and over 1,000 cooperation agreements signed since 1999.
The ambassador also noted Morocco’s humanitarian migration policy, which has legalized the status of nearly 60,000 Sub-Saharan nationals, and its economic leadership as the top investor in West Africa.
She described the Morocco-Spain-Africa tripartite cooperation as a strategic axis for shared prosperity and regional stability.
The reception brought together key political, diplomatic, and business figures who praised Morocco’s role in Euro-African relations. Morocco’s presence at the summit reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to building a united and inclusive Africa.
