Najiba Jalal Denounces Taoufiq Bouachrine’s “Continuing Crime” in “حديت الكنبة”

In the first episode of her show “حديت الكنبة,” journalist Najiba Jalal launched a scathing attack against Taoufiq Bouachrine, expressing solidarity with the victims and their families, notably Asmae El Hallaoui. Jalal accuses Bouachrine of a “continuing crime,” highlighting that even after his release from prison, he continues to psychologically harass his victims.

The show recalled the key events of the Bouachrine case, starting with the shocking revelation of his sexual crimes weeks after the death of Latifa Boussaaden, his first victim. Irrefutable evidence led to his arrest for proven sexual crimes, an event described as “divine justice” by Najiba Jalal.

The journalist’s poignant account focused on the case of Asmae El Hallaoui, a victim of Bouachrine’s abuse while she was single, married, and even pregnant. Jalal denounced Bouachrine’s perverse sexual practices, going so far as to describe him as forcing El Hallaoui to participate in a three-way sexual encounter. She also recalled Bouachrine’s attempt to prevent the release of compromising videos showing him with El Hallaoui in indecent positions. In total, Bouachrine is accused of exploiting and sexually abusing at least 12 journalists and employees of his media company.

Najiba Jalal then analyzed Bouachrine’s podcast “كلام في السياسة,” in which he claimed to want to clean up the Moroccan media landscape. Jalal called this project a “mediocre copy,” emphasizing that the only thing listeners remembered was Bouachrine’s red scarf and his attempts at seduction. She concluded by calling Bouachrine, who presents himself as the “Sultan of the Press,” a “cancer of the press,” an individual who constantly discredits the profession and undermines its values.

Najiba Jalal’s intervention in “حديت الكنبة” constitutes a strong and unequivocal denouncement of Taoufiq Bouachrine’s actions, recalling the gravity of his crimes and the need to support the victims and their families. It highlights the persistence of abuse and the need for a continuous fight against all forms of sexual violence and exploitation.
