Morocco Strongly Condemns the Resumption of Violence in Gaza

Morocco has expressed a clear and firm condemnation of the breach of the ceasefire and the resumption of Israeli attacks against civilians in Gaza. During a ministerial meeting of the African Union’s Peace and Security Council, Nasser Bourita described the situation as “serious and very concerning.”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs denounced the aggressions that have caused hundreds of casualties in recent days. He emphasized that these actions are unacceptable and jeopardize efforts to establish lasting peace in the region.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as President of the Al-Quds Committee, has consistently stated that a stable ceasefire is a fundamental condition for progressing toward a lasting solution. He has insisted on the importance of avoiding any political manipulation of this agreement.
Bourita regretted the failure to implement the next phases of the ceasefire agreement due to the interruption of humanitarian aid and severe restrictions imposed on Gaza. This situation has led to a concerning humanitarian crisis.
Morocco reaffirms its commitment to a lasting peace based on the two-state solution. It calls for the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the 1967 borders.
Given the continuous deterioration of the situation, Morocco urges the international community to act swiftly to end the violence and ensure compliance with ceasefire agreements, preventing a worsening humanitarian crisis.
