Spain’s foreign policy under the leadership of Pedro Sánchez took a major strategic turn with the strengthening of relations with Morocco. Trade between Spain and Morocco has reached record levels, consolidating Morocco’s position as Spain’s main trading partner outside the European Union. Furthermore, Spanish investments in Morocco have seen significant growth, particularly in strategic sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and the automotive industry.

Despite internal criticism, Pedro Sánchez’s policy toward Morocco reflects a calculated and visionary strategic choice. In a changing global context, Spain has opted for pragmatism and cooperation with an essential neighbor, thereby ensuring its long-term stability and prosperity.
