Fuerza Popular of Peru reaffirms its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity

On April 7, 2025, Rachid Talbi El Alami, President of the House of Representatives, hosted Keiko Fujimori, President of the Peruvian party Fuerza Popular, during her working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco. This meeting took place at the House’s headquarters in Rabat, where Talbi El Alami briefed Fujimori on the political, economic, and social reforms undertaken by Morocco under the leadership of King Mohamed VI, as well as the major ongoing projects in the country.

During the visit, Rachid Talbi El Alami also provided an overview of Morocco’s parliamentary system, particularly the powers of the House of Representatives under the 2011 Constitution. He highlighted the recent developments regarding the Kingdom’s territorial integrity, a subject of paramount importance to Morocco.

Keiko Fujimori, for her part, expressed her interest in Morocco’s experience, emphasizing that her visit was aimed at gaining a better understanding of the Kingdom’s model in various areas. She also affirmed that Peru was pleased with the growing ties with Morocco, particularly in the context of exchanging experiences in governance and development.

Finally, during the meeting, the President of Fuerza Popular reaffirmed her party’s support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and its sovereignty over its entire territory, particularly concerning the issue of Western Sahara. This statement marks a strengthening of bilateral relations between Peru and Morocco.
