New appointments to positions of responsibility within the DGSN

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced on Saturday, October 25, 2025, a series of new appointments to positions of responsibility within its decentralized services in several cities across the Kingdom, notably in Taza, Azrou, Ben Guerir, Settat, and Ouarzazate. This initiative is part of an internal dynamic aimed at injecting new energy and promoting young, experienced police officers capable of effectively contributing to citizens’ safety and the protection of their property.
These appointments, approved by the Director General of the DGSN-DGST complex, Abdellatif Hammouchi, concern six new positions of responsibility. They include the appointment of a deputy chief of the Settat security zone, a head of the regional judicial police service in Ouarzazate, and a chief of the administrative police annex in Ben Guerir.
In addition, the changes include the designation of police officers to head several local police services, among them two district chiefs in Taza and a head of the traffic unit in Azrou.
Special attention was paid in the selection process to candidates from the new generation of security executives, recognized for their professional competence, integrity, and field experience.
These new appointments are part of the DGSN’s ongoing modernization strategy, aimed at strengthening citizens’ sense of security, improving the quality of police services, consolidating institutional communication, and promoting greater openness of police services to their social environment.
