Lmrabet, between conspiracy delusion and media sabotage

In a new attempt at distraction, the renegade Ali Lmrabet has released a video aimed at diverting public attention from the serious revelations contained in the audio recordings recently published by YouTuber Youssef Zerouali. These damning audios expose seditious intentions against the State and subversive comments targeting key figures in the security apparatus, particularly the head of the DGSN/DGST hub. True to his role as a mouthpiece for a hostile agenda, Lmrabet fails to address any of these facts, choosing instead—as always—to steer the debate toward absurd theories.

In his incoherent intervention, he repeats the well-known rhetoric of Hicham Jerando, attempting to fabricate the existence of a rift between Morocco’s two main intelligence agencies, the DGST and the DGED. To support this claim, he refers to an alleged smear campaign by the Barlamane website—which he labels without evidence as a “media arm of the DGST”—against DGED director Yassine El Mansouri. Yet at no point does he cite any specific article or provide any proof to back his insinuations. His method follows a well-worn tactic: make claims, imply things, but never prove them.

Taking disinformation to the extreme, he alleges that the weekly L’Observateur du Maroc et d’Afrique, which he accuses of being a DGED outlet, advocated for a truce between the two services. However, a fair reading of the article reveals quite the opposite: a call for unity in the face of coordinated smear campaigns targeting both Abdellatif Hammouchi and Yassine El Mansouri.

Lmrabet’s imagination clearly knows no bounds. He even fabricates far-fetched stories, such as claiming that the Telegram account “Jabaroot,” which leaked sensitive information implicating several state figures including the DGED chief, was an internal operation aimed at harming the latter. He goes so far as to assert that the “Maroc-Gate” scandal was orchestrated from within Morocco to discredit Yassine Mansouri. These delusional claims reflect a blatant desire to harm, in service of narratives dictated by foreign agendas. This latest episode is part of a broader campaign aimed at undermining the Moroccan people’s trust in their security institutions. By reviving Jerando’s conspiratorial fantasies, Ali Lmrabet positions himself as a purveyor of disinformation serving interests far removed from the national good. The time has come to clearly denounce these toxic deviations and reaffirm that the cohesion of Moroccan institutions remains a red line that no one may cross with impunity
