Abdellatif Hammouchi Injects New Blood into Leadership Positions

In an initiative aimed at revitalizing the management of public security services and promoting emerging talents, the General Directorate of National Security announced this Wednesday (05.02.2025) a series of strategic appointments in several cities across the country. Under the leadership of Abdellatif Hammouchi, ten key positions have been filled in various decentralized services.
These new appointments notably include the designation of a deputy head for the Ouarzazate region and the appointment of six service chiefs within the police forces in the cities of Azmour, Zagora, and Casablanca. Furthermore, the renewal strategy also involves assignments within the uniformed police. In this context, two leadership positions have been allocated to urban authorities in the cities of Mchrâa Belkassiri and Souk El Sebt Oulad Ennema, while a head of the traffic brigade has been appointed in Khénifra.
These measures are part of a policy of “rotation in leadership positions,” aimed at enhancing the performance and responsiveness of security services. The stated goal is to entrust the operational management of the police services to highly qualified and trained personnel, capable of effectively implementing action plans designed to strengthen citizen security and protect their property.
Abdellatif Hammouchi, who is responsible for implementing this strategy, emphasizes that these appointments represent an investment in the future of the national security system, paving the way for a competent and motivated renewal. The administration thus hopes to meet the growing security challenges while ensuring better human resource management within the police.
With these initiatives, the General Directorate of National Security reaffirms its commitment to modernizing its structures and establishing a performance-driven culture in the service of citizens, ensuring enhanced security and quality public service.
