Marrakech. Seizure of 6934 psychoactive medical pills and arrest of four individuals suspected of being involved in drug trafficking and psychotropic substances.

The elements of the judicial police of the Security Department of Marrakech, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), managed, on Wednesday and Thursday, to seize 6934 psychoactive medical pills and arrest four individuals, including a pharmacist, aged between 25 and 33, suspected of being involved in a case related to drug trafficking and psychotropic substances.
An official source stated that the first suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto for possessing and trafficking hallucinogenic pills in one of the neighborhoods of Marrakech, where the seizure and search operation led to the discovery of 1500 psychoactive medical pills of the type “Zepam.”
The ongoing investigations into this case, according to the same source, led to the arrest of three other individuals, including a pharmacist, suspected of being linked to this criminal activity. The search operation also resulted in the seizure of an additional 5434 psychoactive medical pills.
The source pointed out that the suspects were placed under provisional detention, pending a judicial investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor, to determine the possible extent of this criminal activity and to uncover all the criminal acts attributed to the individuals involved.
