Interpol President: Morocco a Leading Model in Addressing Security Challenges and Consolidating Stability

In the city of El Jadida, Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi, President of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), praised the Kingdom of Morocco’s capabilities in the security field. He confirmed that the country has proven its merit in facing escalating challenges and consolidating the foundations of security and stability, thanks to wise leadership and competent security institutions.
During the official opening ceremony of the National Security Open Doors Days in El Jadida, Al-Raisi highlighted that “national security is the cornerstone of any society aspiring to development and prosperity.” He emphasized Morocco’s advanced security system based on professionalism and efficiency, with full respect for human rights.
He also described this annual event as a moment of recognition for the efforts and sacrifices of security men and women, an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of belonging and national unity, honoring an institution deeply valued by the Moroccan people.
The Interpol president recalled Morocco’s pivotal role since joining the organization about seven decades ago, noting its active contributions to supporting international initiatives in combating terrorism, organized crime, migrant smuggling, human trafficking, and drug trafficking.
He stressed that the appointment of Mohamed Elkachisi, Wali of Security and Director of Judicial Police, as Interpol Vice President for the African continent, is a sign of growing international confidence in Moroccan security expertise, reflecting the advanced status of the national security forces on the global stage.
Finally, Al-Raisi expressed admiration for Morocco’s preparations to host the 93rd Interpol General Assembly in Marrakech, describing this major international event as the culmination of a long process of modernization, reform, and strengthening of the national security system.
