DGSN Open Days in El Jadida: A Record 2.4 Million Visitors

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has announced a historic record of participation during the 6th edition of its Open Days, held in El Jadida from May 17 to 21, 2025. The event drew nearly 2.4 million visitors, reflecting the growing public interest in this transparency and community engagement initiative.

The weekend days of Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18, saw exceptional crowds, with more than 1.18 million visitors in just two days. Among them were students from 1,916 schools, representatives from 1,500 civil society organizations, and journalists from 187 national and international media outlets. The DGSN also utilized its digital platforms to broadcast the event live, reaching over 29 million online views.

Spanning over one hectare at the “Mohammed VI” exhibition space, the event featured 50 thematic stands covering areas such as recruitment, training, police career life, public services, and specialized units like forensic science, intervention forces, and victim support cells. There were also tech exhibits, including demonstrations by the “Amane” unit—a smart AI-equipped patrol.

The event also showcased the history of Moroccan police through exhibits of vintage vehicles, historical equipment, and documents tracing 69 years of public service. A dedicated art space allowed security officers to present their paintings that depicted human values and the DGSN’s social engagement.

Families and children were well catered for, with a 1,000 m² recreational area combining games, learning, and virtual reality. A second covered space of 9,400 m² hosted spectacular shows by cavalry units, police dogs, special forces, and the police band, with high-quality sound and lighting equipment.

On the academic front, DGSN held several conferences on current topics: the use of artificial intelligence in policing, security challenges linked to organizing CAN 2025 and the 2030 World Cup, and the digitalization of services through digital identity and the “Iblagh” platform to combat violent online content. Through these Open Days, the DGSN reinforces its citizen-focused policing strategy and its role in co-producing public security.
